Fans have been eagerly waiting for the release of Border 2, the much awaited and much anticipated film released in the theatres today on 23rd January 2026.  Marking the grand occasion, Sunny Deol took to social media to share a few unseen BTS (Behind the Scenes) from the sets which instantly caught the emotional chord of the fans. 

The BTS video shared by the actor on Instagram shows Sunny Deol in a light hearted and in a relaxed mood on the sets of Border 2. With his rugged looks from the film Sunny’s funny side shines through, sharing his laughs with the team on the sets.  One of the highlights was Sunny Deol enjoying a plate of Chole Bhature during he shoot which adds to the desi touch to the celebrations.

Sharing the video, Sunny Deol captioned, “Today is Border 2 day’ . The actor also shared a warm message to his fans, stating, ‘Don’t worry or stress, just relax and unwind’ . Invited everyone to experience the film. He further wrote, ‘ “Let’s all enjoy Border 2 together’ He placed hashtags wherever required. 

About Border 2 

Border 2, sequel of Border of J P Dutta’s 1997 blockbuster is an epic action war film co-written and directed by Anurag Singh. The sequel is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J.P Dutta and Nidhi Dutta under the T Series Films banner and J.P. Films. Starring in the film are Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty in lead roles. 

The film is described as a spiritual sequel to the iconic Border with a patriotic fervour running high. It has more legacy and emotions on the narratives of the 1971 war story as well as the nostalgia that is in the air. 

Border 2 marched into the theatres today a few days before the India Republic Day.
