Border 2 headlined by actor Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh , Varun Dhawan and Ahan Shetty opened to a stellar start at the box office over the long weekend holiday. The film’s earning stands at Rs. 180 crores after Monday.  It was reportedly one of the highest Republic Day earnings.  


Border 2 has already beaten Dhurandhar’s weekend box office numbers . 


It’s a Tsunami – Border 2 runs riots at the box office. 


Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh called the box office run of  Border 2 as Tsunami.   Last month it was Dhurandhar and now it is Border 2 that has brought joy, a new hope, confidence and the optimism back into Bollywood. Their box office numbers are amazing and nothing short of sensational.  


Urban Centers perform exceptionally well.  The houseful boards make a strong comeback across circuits after the phenomenal success back-to-back of Dhurandhar and Border 2 .

Border 2  a war remembered legacy, showcases the velour of the soldiers . A film that probes into their vulnerabilities that make them human and believable.   The grief of separation , bereavement, hopes and fears despite all, the soldiers who bring forward their heroic deeds which are performed in the blink of an eye .

The 2026 war action film serves as a standalone sequel to the 1997 classic Border. Released on January 23rd 2026, coinciding with the India’s Republic Day.


The plot is set during the 1971 Indo-Pak war and depicts the Operation Chengiz Khan which expands its scope beyond the Army and combines its operations along with India Air Force and the Navy. 

The music is composed by Anu Malik, Mithoon, Sachet- Parampara, Vishal Mishra and Gurmoh.
