Dream Girl 2 Enters The List Of 10 Highest Grossing Hindi Films Of This Year

Actor Ayushmann Khurrana's latest release, which has been battling a string of flops, may still be far from touching the magical figure of Rs 100 crore nett at the domestic box office, but it has made it to the list of 10 highest-grossing Hindi films of this year. Entry is done. This film is on the ninth position in this list and now Salman Khan's film 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan' is just above it. The record of highest grossing in the year 2023 is in the name of Shah Rukh Khan's film 'Pathaan'.
Shah Rukh Khan's film 'Pathaan', released on January 25 this year, is the highest-grossing film of Hindi cinema so far. The film grossed around Rs 543 crore, including the Hindi, Tamil and Telugu versions. The net domestic collection of its Hindi version is around Rs 524 crore. Sunny Deol's film 'Gadar 2' can break the record of this film's earnings, provided it gets a chance to stay in theatres for at least 100 days like the film 'Pathaan'. According to the figures till Monday night, the earnings of 'Gadar 2' have been around Rs 504 crore.
The most surprising success in the year 2023 has been director Sudipto Sen's film 'The Kerala Story'. Starring Adah Sharma in the lead role, the film attracted the audience on the basis of its story alone without any big stars. Taking a modest opening of 8.05 crores, the film witnessed a phenomenal growth in its business due to appreciation from the audience and its net collection reached to Rs 242.20 crores at the domestic box office.
The fourth and fifth highest grossing films of the year 2023 so far were, ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ and ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’. Although director Karan Johar's Ranveer Singh starrer 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' has crossed the milestone of earning more than Rs 150 crore at the box office, the days taken to reach this figure have dulled the charm of this earning. Director Luv Ranjan's Ranbir Kapoor starrer 'Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar' was well received by the audience and stood at number five just behind Ranveer Singh's film in terms of earnings.
