No one expected the Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa to do the business it did when it released in 2007. The film’s sequel is now all set to release 15 years later with a fresh star cast of Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani. Vidya Balan will be reprising her role as Manjulika. T-Series who is backing the project announced its new release date on social media writing, “Mark your calendars! They are all set to re-open the doors of the Haveli💀 #BhoolBhulaiyaa2 releasing on 20th May 2022!” The film also stars Tabu. 

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 was earlier supposed to release on March 25th but due to its clash with S S Rajamouli’s RRR, its makers decided to postpone the date. In fact it is the second time it is postponed. It was earlier to release in November 2021. Kartik had previously shared a picture with Rajpal Yadav on his social media page and wrote, “No Mo FOMO. Hamara Number Bhi aa Gaya.” Yadav was also a part of the Akshay Kumar starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa. The second installment is helmed by Anees Bazmee and is written by Farhad Samji and Aakash Kaushik. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Murad Khetani, and Krishan Kumar under the banner of T-Series and Cine 1 Studios.
