‘Kabir Singh’ is remade in hindi from the telugu hit movie ‘Arjun Reddy’ where the Batti Gul Meter Chalu actor will play the title role and his leading lady will be Kiara playing the role of Preeti. The Kalank actress shared pictures of herself on Instagram cutting a celebratory cake of the movie with its team.
Talking of the movie in an interview Shahid Kapoor said, “The original was very raw, very honest. I don’t think there was anything in the film that was for effect. I just felt it said things as it is and was a brazen journey of a character who goes through an emotional arc which is extreme."
Kiara Advani will be seen in a mainstream lead role after her 2017 movie Machine. She was also seen in Netflix’s Lust stories which were critically acclaimed. ‘Kabir Singh’ is produced by Krishan Kumar, Bhushan Kumar, Ashwin Varde and Murad Khetani and is deirected by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The movie is scheduled to release this year on 21st June.
