Talented Bollywood filmmaker Onir gave us the National Award winning film ‘I Am’ in 2010. The film consisted of four short films namely; Omar, Afia, Abhimanyu and Megha, where 6 different languages were spoken. Now the director is back with a sequel to his film and will be titled ‘We Are’. The filmmaker has taken on board Sacred Games actress Kubbra Sait for one of the segments of the film. She will be cast opposite actress Nimisha Sajayan. Talking of her role, the filmmaker said, “I won’t go into much detail right now. But for me, it’s a very special character. She’s playing the role of a girl who’s closeted and is outed without consent. The story will explore what happens after that.”

‘We Are’ will tell four short stories on being queer. Onir also added, “I’ve finished scripting the project, and started the casting process.” Some of other Onir’s projects include My Brother Nikhil, Bas Ek Pal and Chauranga, among others.
