The success of Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna’s vampire comedy horror Thamma has enabled its franchise. The Maddock Horror Comedy Universe is expected to cross the milestone of Rs. 1500 crore at the box office.
The franchise that began with Stree followed by Munjya , Bhediya and Stree 2 has Thamma released last month that has over taken Rohit Shetty’s Cop Universe at 1411 croe and the KGF Film series at 1420 crore. Currently the YRF Spy Universe has accumulated box office collection of over 3000 crore.

The most successful film of Maddock Horror Comedy Universe is Stree 2 which had earned over 870 crore worldwide . The other three films including Thamma have crossed 100 crore worldwide and is expected to move forward to more successful box office collection. The only failure in the franchise is Bhediya starring Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon whose earnings was only 95 crore at the box office.
Thamma already earned over 180 crore at the box office in 20 days and is now heading towards the 200 crore mark very soon.
Eight more films have been announced in this franchise and is all set for its release one after another in the next five years which will also include the sequels of the standalone films like Shakti Shalini, Chamunda and two other films in 2029.
