Prabhas First Film In Two Years, The Raja Saab Opening Day Collection

The Raja Saab is a horror comedy and its actor’s first foray in this genere.   The film released on Friday the 9th, January 2026 and on the opening day it has earned over Rs. 6 crore net. 

This earning is just paid previews of Thursday evenings and early morning shows.  The figure surpassed one of the top grossing films of the recent times, Dhurandhar.   The Aditya Dhar film had earned Rs. 4.25 crore on Thursday which is its 35th day in the theatres.  With the new grossing films , it is quite certain The Raja Saab will soon follow the Dhurandhar way and may become the number 1 film at the Indian box office.

The Raja Saab is expected to soar past the Rs. 60 crore mark in the domestic earning on its first day and it has received a boost on the eve of the release of Vijay’s Jana Nayagan which was postponed due to which The Raja Saab got 250 additional screens in Tamil Nadu. 

Jana Nayagan has finally received its CBFC certification on Friday morning which paved its way for its release while the makers had not formally announced the release of the film . While it’s expected to hit the screens, before Pongal on Wednesday , The Raja Saab capitalized its earlier single release on screen and may lose its throne once again . As for now it remains the number one at the domestic box office.

The Raja Saab also stars Bollywood actors such as Sanjay Dutt, Malavika Mohanan, Riddhi Kumar, Boman Irani and Zarina Wahab. The film released in the theatres ahead of the Sankranti weekend and marks the return of Prabhas to the family entertainment genre.
