After having the event virtually for the last 2 years, the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne was held physically this year and the attendance was stellar! From personalities like Kapil Dev, Vikram Malhotra, Suresh Triveni to Anurag Kashyap, it was a star studded night. While Abhishek Bachchan was honored with the Leadership in Cinema award, Vaani Kapoor won the Disruptor in Cinema award for her performance in Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui. 

The other winners of IFFM 2022 included; Jalsa- Equality in Cinema Award, Shefali Shah- Best Actress award for Jalsa. Best Actor- Ranveer Singh for 83, Best Director- Shoojit Sircar for Sardar Udham and Aparna Sen for The Rapist. Best Indie Film - Jaggi directed by Anmol Sidhu (Punjabi), Best Actor in a Series - Mohit Raina for Mumbai Diaries 26/11, Best Actress in a Series - Sakshi Tanwar for MAI, Best Series - Mumbai Diaries 26/11 by Nikkhil Advani, Best Documentary - A Night of Knowing Nothing by Payal Kapadia and Lifestyle Achievement Award - Kapil Dev.
