The Bandit Queen director apparently prefers travelling in auto rickshaws than to have his own car. The actor-producer-director was applauded on Twitter for doing the same when he replied that he finds it silly to own a car in Mumbai, because it takes about 600,000 litres of water to make an average car. All that water can easily be used for a better purpose like growing food instead.

Shekhar Kapur has also revealed that he doesn’t need to own 20 imported cars just to prove his high self-esteem. On the work front, there are mighty speculations that a sequel to his 1987 super duper hit Mr. India sequel is in talks but the director hasn’t said much about it expect that he finds it strange to make this movie without his favorite actress Sridevi in it.
