The highly anticipated romantic comedy, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai directed by David Dhawan marks a significant return with the Dhawan style of filmmaking . The director reunites with his son Varun Dhawan for this film that was originally slated for June release this year is now capitalizing on the summer holiday window in the month of May to avoid the clash with Yash’s Toxic. 

With the film nearly at completion, Mrunal Thakur has recently finished her dubbing, the production house Tips Films felt the May window would offer better access to the audience and also avoid clash with other films like Toxic or Imtiaz Ali’s Main Vaapas Aaunga.

The first look of the lead pair, Mrunal Thakur and Varun Dhawan was unveiled on Wednesday , showcasing a vibrant and high energy momentum  .  A separate look also featured Pooja Hegde and Varun which was released earlier confirming on the release of a glamorous rom-com multi starrer. 


Tips Films has announced its re-entry into the film distribution with Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai serving it as a debut project . The roll out will be massive across the nation with massive screenings at both multiplex and at the single screen theatres. 

The ensemble star cast to this wholesome family entertainer is expanded with actors, Jimmy Sheirgill, Maniesh Paul, Kubbra Sait, Mouni Roy and Chunky Pandey.


The music is catchy with remix of the 90 hits and script penned by Gullak writer Durgesh Singh . The film is one of the most tracked projects for the summer of 2026.
