Actor Varun Dhawan has grabbed attention and is in headlines for the right reasons. While he is gearing up for his next release, the rom-com, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, he is basking on the love pouring on him for his re-release of his classic film Main Tera Hero which is a part of the David Dhawan Film Festival. 


Adding to his joy is filmmaker Ektaa Kapoor’s throwback video with Varun which she shared on her social media handle. The actor shared a video of a bike ride of 2014 as a part of the promotional strategy.   The fun video also shows an interaction between Varun Dhawan and Ektaa and a classic dialogue with the second part of the dialogue completed by Varun himself.

Ektaa’s heartwarming note included the nostalgia of the 12 years ago when she and Varun went out to promote the film Main Tera Hero On a Bike ! The movie release had gone viral and had increased due to the houseful shows. Ektaa further added,  @daviddhawan205 is a genius.

The theatrical re-run of Main Tera Hero was introduced with the film’s playful energy on the social media. Some of the screenings were full blown viral moment which has humbled Varun Dhawan for the love and adulation he is receiving from his fans and the viewers on social media. He stated that his Instagram algorithms is filled with the viral moments from the theatres. 


Meanwhile Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai is all set to release in the theatres on June 5th 2026. The romantic comedy film starring Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde in the lead is directed by David Dhawan.
