One of the most controversial film that is critical on Indira Gandhi and Sanjay Gandhi by filmmaker Madhur Bhadarkar on Monday got 14 cuts to this forthcoming film Indu Sarkar by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).The film is set in the backdrop of the Emergency declared by Prime Minister Indira Gandhi for the 21 month period from 1975 to 1977 across the country. CBFC have ordered to censor the visuals of newspaper cuttings bearing the names of the political personalities like Atal Behari Vajpayee, Morarji Desai and LK Advani and removal of words like RSS , Akali from the film.
Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam has demanded that a special screening of the film to be held so that they can ensure that the characters in the film are not shown in a bad light while Bhandarkar says the film is 70 percent fictional. Indu Sarkar's promotional event was called off in Pune, Nagpur and Mumbai after threats from local Congress workers.The new poster of Indu Sarkar reveals Neil Nitin Mukesh playing the character of Sanjay Gandhi who has an uncanny resemblance to the politician and seems like the actor has taken his role seriously and put in every effort to get to as close as the real which has grabbed the attention of the audience and media.
The film that is already creating a buzz as one of the most daring films by Madhur Bhandarkar will also star Kriti Kulhari , veteran actor Anupam Kher, Supriya Vinod and Tota Roy Chowdhury in pivotal roles. The fans of Bollywood can't certainly wait to watch the film that is promising intriguing and entertaining and is set for its release on July 28th 2017.
