Actor Ranbir Kapoor's upcoming film , the biopic on Sanjay Dutt has set a new record. ! Fox Star India has been taken on board as the studio for the biopic film helmed by Rajkumar Hirani at a whooping price of Rs. 180 crores, breaking his earlier records on films, ' 3 Idiots' and ' PK' which had Aamir Khan in them.
However Trade Analyst is not sure and is sceptical about the subject as it is though the film is gathering a lot of interest from the audience who already know a lot about Sanjay Dutt's life . One can definitely hope for the best and will have to wait and watch .
Ranbir Kapoor has been in the news ever since he signed with Rajkumar Hirani for the biopic and initially everyone wondered how a chocolate faced lean actor would be able to essay the role of Sanjay Dutt. But the recent pictures of the actor have convinced one and all that Ranbir Kapoor surely is doing full justice to this role .
That is one of the reasons why Rajkumar has signed up with Fox Star India studio . ' Sanjay Dutt biopic' collaboration is for an exorbitant Rs.180 crores without satellite rights which has shocked the entire film industry.
Obviously film studios in India are doing extremely well and a deal between Rajkumar Hirani and Fox Studios has left everyone baffled not to forget the separate cost of the satellite. It is also reported that 15% of the film's profit share will be given to the studio.
Sanjay Dutt biopic is one of the most talked about film and one of the very ambitious projects by Hirani and is the film that every one is waiting to hit the theatres. But Is it all the worth that investment. Trade Analyst says the filmmaker has broken two records earlier with his films, ' 3 Idiots' and 'PK' but will the record break happen with an actor like Ranbir Kapoor and not Aamir Khan ? No doubt it is going to be one of the most interesting story in the form of the biopic , but still a thought comes to the mind of the people on how the film is going to fare and what would be the box office collection be like ?
The deal between the Studio and Hirani has already been done and now we wish Hirani all the success at the ticket windows and ultimately reflect on the Box office collections to save the film.
