The political thriller 'Sameer' directed by Dakxin Chhara featuring Zeeshan Ayyub, Anjali Patil, Subrat Dutta Seema Biswas Chinmay Mandlekar in the leading roles is set for its release on September 15th 2017.
The plot of the film is about a young Muslim boy Sameer who is innocent and is an engineering student who is forced to help the ATS in their mission to find Yasin his roommate who is believed to be the mastermind behind the Hyderabad and Bengaluru blasts . The ATS takes Sameer into custody before Yasin strikes Ahmedabad this time.
The award winning filmmaker Director Dakxin Chhara, playwright is also an activist from the Chhara De-notified Tribes of Ahmedabad . He has directed about eighty fiction and non fiction films on various topics related to political scene in India.
Chahhra has also written a book ' Budhan Bolta Hai which is Buddhan Speaks that was awarded first prize for his writing ' Mahatma Gandhi Best Creative Writing in 2010-2011 for Human Rights Commission. Currently he is handling the post of Artistic Director of Buddhan Theatre and is also the founding director of Nomad Movies Pvt Ltd. He is also known for his 11 plays that he not only has directed but also written and has supervised 46 of the theatre productions at the theatre which performed 700 shows across different parts of India.The political film is produced by Nomad Movies Pvt Ltd and is slated for its release on September 15th 2017.
