Mehul Buch

Mehul started his career in the entertainment industry with Hindi and Gujarati stage plays and in television as an actor and in the production. He has had a very long career span in Gujarati and Hindi theatre, television and in the film industry.

He started his career as a supporting actor in the television and went on to become a prolific figure in the Indian entertainment industry. He has to his credit many notable projects across films television and theatre.

Mehul Buch has been very busy with the Gujarati cinema releases for the current period 2025-2026. Some of the projects that he has acted in are in a Gujarati drama released in January 2026 called School Days which featured him alongside Mamta Soni and Chetan Daiya.

He also acted in a devotional drama called Harpalde Shakti Na Amar Ajayada released in February 2026.

In July 2025, he acted in the family drama called Deda alongside Gaurav Paswala and Helly Shah. In the same year he also was a part of family comedy released in June 2025 where he essayed the role of Diwan Saheb.

His drama Shubchintak, premiered in May 2025 featured Swapnil Joshi and Manasi Parekh.

Ranbhoomi which was released in 2024, Mehul Buch essayed the character of Natha Mukhi in this social drama. 

Mehul in Web Series

Mehul Buch is the part of the cast for the upcoming television web series directed by Edward Fernando called Daldal. In 2023-2024, which was his most recent major television role it was in Doree with Mahendra Thakur in the Hindi series on Colors TV. Between 2022-2023 he played the role of Dhanraj Choudhary in Who Toh Hai Albelaa. 

The Gujarati Theatre work

Mehul Buch is a famous personality in the Gujarati theatre community and is highly regarded for his work and service to the theatre.

His recent play Eklavya featured at the Vasant Theatre Festival alongside Kruttika Desai.

Thereafter Mehul was a part of the popular play Thakorji that explores the importance and the belief. The title sounds are religious and it is a contemporary story with characters having grey shades. In Tathastu which was released during pandemic he wrote and performed this in a well-received monologue. Amruta Gandhi Not Guilty is another notable production of Mehul which had an extensive stage career for him.

Mehul Buch’s television career:

Mehul Buch is popular for his television roles as well and his most recent was the 2022 to 2023 in Who Toh Hai Albela, where he played the role of Dhanraj Choudhary the head of the Choudhary family. Between 2021 and 2022 Mehul portrayed the character of Devraj Anjaria in Balika Vadhu 2.

In the same period, he also appeared in Durga – Mata Ki Chhaya as Alok Aneja and in Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara which is one of his most recognized roles as Anuj Deewan between the period 2012 and 2014. 

One of the most popular television serials is Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma released in 2017, he had made a guest appearance as the character Cheda.

In The Command Force released in 2011 and 2014 Mehul played the role of the Chief and in Kulfi Kumar Bajewala he had the supporting role in the popular drama. 

Mehul Buch featured in various stories of the mini-series Khidki on SAB TV in 2016 and in 2008, he portrayed the character of Narottam in the serial Shree. 

One of his episodic roles was in C.I.D in The Case of the Stolen Car. 

In Hindi Cinemas

Mehul Buch appeared in films like Ghaath, Filhaal, Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai between 2000 and 2002. In 2008, he acted in Maan Gaye Mughal-e-Azam and in Ashoka Chakra :Tribute to Real Heroes in which he essayed the role of Investigating Officer. The film release in 2010.

In 2014 He acted as Praveen’s best friend in Kuch Kuch Locha Hai and in the film Union Leader in 2017 and A Daughter’s Tale Pankh in the same year. 

Mehul Buch has had a very successful career in Gujarati television and in Gujarati Cinema and is a well-known actor. In 2019, he acted as a Principal in the Teacher of the Year .
