Sanjeeda Sheikh

Sanjeeda Sheikh has played various roles in soap operas on television. She had made her debut on television with the series Kya Hoga Nimmo Kaa in 2005. She had played the role of Nimmo. Her other roles were that of Ayesha Shergill in the series, Kayamath, Nitya Goenka or also called Durga, in Ek Hasina Thi and as Kamini Mathur in Love Ka Hai Intezaar. Sanjeeda has since then been a part of the film industry. Her other films were Taish in 2020, Kaali Khuhi in the same year and in the film Fighter in 2024. She was also prominently a part of the very famous web series, Heeramandi, released in 2024. 

After she had essayed a vamp’s role in the 2007 series Kayamath on Star Plus, she participated in the dance competition named Nach Baliye 3 with her ex-husband Aamir Ali. The couple had won the competition. 

In the year 2008, Sanjeeda appeared in the serial Kya Dill Main Hai opposite Aamir Ali which was telecast in the 9X channel. Thereafter she appeared in 2014 as Durga Thakur, a very ambitious confident woman seeking justice in the film Ek Hasina Thi. The serial won her accolades and she got acclaimed by critics and the viewers. The show was one of the most successful ones of that year. 

In 2016 Sanjeeda appeared as Dhani in Ishq Ka Rang Safed as an onscreen mother to a five-year-old child. In 2017 she appeared in a supernatural web series called Gehraiyaan as Renya.   The web series was by the debutant director Sidhant Sachdev and was produced by Vikram Bhatt production house. 

In 2017, Sanjeeda Sheikh appeared as Kamini Mathur a superstar in the television series called Love Ka Hai Intezaar. 

In 2020 Sanjeeda made her Hindi film debut with the film Taish where she played the role of Jahaan opposite Harshvardhan Rane. She also essayed the character of Priya in the Netflix horror film Kaali Khuhi opposite Shabana Azmi. 

In 2024, Sanjeeda Sheikh played the role of an Air Force Officer’s wife. She was Karan Singh Grover’s wife Saachi Gill in the film ‘ Fighter’. She was a huge support in the film with the film becoming a commercial success, and the film went on to be one of the highest-grossing films of that year in Bollywood.

Sanjeeda later in the same year she was the pretty courtesan Waheeda in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s series, called Heeramandi. Sanjeeda managed to create an impact of her tragic role in the series. 

Her other films were Baghban in 2003 as Nilli with a multi-star cast. 

Sanjeeda has appeared in several music videos too. Before she debuted in Hindi films, she made her debut in the Punjabi film’ Ashke’ released in 2018.
