ted his 12th class.  He also studied at the Bhonsala Military School in Nashik Maharashtra for two years. He passed the Madhya Pradesh State Level Engineering Entrance Exams that he had initially decided to pursue engineering. Later when he cleared the entrance exam, he pursued his passion for modelling. He was also a national level football player.

DSena was reject 350 to 400 times before he made his debut in 2008 in Zee Tv’s Kasamh Se. He played the role of Vicky Jai Walia. His next project was Agnipareeksha Jeevan Ki – Gangaa which aired on Colors TV. He had essayed the role of Shivam. Later in 2010, he had a double role in Star One Tv’s supernatural romance Pyaar Kii ye Ek Kahaani. The show was supernatural centric series in India inspired by The Vampire Diaries and Twilight Saga. This established Vivian DSena as a television actor.

In 2012, Vivan played a triple role in Colors Television Madhubala-Ek Ishq Ek Junoon as Rishab Kundra, Keval Ram Kushwaha and Raja Kushwaha opposite Drashti Dhami. His performance was much appreciated and applauded and he won accolades and nomination including the ITA Award for Performer of the Year. Gold Award for Best Actor in a Lead and AVTA for Best Personality of the Year. Madhubala-Ek Ishq Ek Junoon was showcased in over 50 countries around the world.

In 2015, Vivian DSena participated in Colors Television dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8 and was at the 10th finishing place. He participated in the stunt-based reality show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7 which was filmed in Argentina.

Vivian Dsena was also a part of the social drama Shakti- Astitva Ek Ehsaas Ki released between 2016-2019. He also acted in the romantic drama Sirf Tum in 2021 and 2022. A cameo role in Udaariyaan in 2023 and participated in reality shows on the television such as Bigg Boss 18 in 2024 and the third season of the cooking-based comedy show Laughter Chefs in 2025.

Vivan Dsena has received several accolades which included the two Indian Telly Awards, two Gold Awards and an Asian Viewers Television Award and the two Indian Television Academy Awards.
