Diana Pentry was born to a Parsi father and Christian Konkani mother in Mumbai. After doing her schooling from St Agnes High School, Mumbai she graduated in mass communication from St Xavier’s University. Diana in her early days never considered a career in the entertainment industry whether it was modeling or in the film industry, but only developed a passion for modeling later in her life. This beautiful and stunning actress is 5’ 10” tall by 13 years and was often teased by her classmates but she took her unusual height to her advantage and decided to try her luck at modeling and she believed to embrace her flaws that make who you are and today she is one of the most successful models in the Industry. Penty’s parents were always supportive of her choices, and initially were drawn on to the fashion industry after being contacted by Elite Models India in 2005. In the same year, Diana Penty made her debut entry at the Indo-Italian Festival where she walked the ramp in the year for the famous Italian designers Nicola Trussardi and GianfrancoFerre’. According to a well placed source Diana is dating a Diamond Merchant Harsh Sagar and the couple is serious about each other and she has been refusing film offers ever since.

By 2007 she had established herself as a successful model and had started appearing in print media and for some of India’s top brands including the famous jewellery Chain Tribhovandas Bhimji Zaveri. She went on to feature on the covers of few Indian fashion magazines as well. Diana Penty has also modeled with the International brands and has begun to endorse global brands including Maybelline, Garnier and Forever 21. Penty with her refreshing looks and elegance was selected by Maybelline to replace Deepika Padukone to be their new brand ambassador to symbolize the Garnier India From her modeling career Penty started receiving film offers and she had refused the offers as she believed she needed to work on them and was not confident and had then decided to focus on her modeling career. Penty got much acclaim as a model by the year 2007 after working for reputed Indian Designers like Rohit Bhal,Rina Dhaka and also for Wendill Rockers following it up with appearances in posters of leading Indian brands like Parachute, Westside all of which made her a leading model in India. From 2008 to 2010 Diana established as one of the top models internationally for fashion weeks in Paris and New York along with other celebrated models and designers from around the world.

Diana Penty was Imtiaz Ali’s first choice for playing Heer Kaul in Ranbir Kapoor’s Rock star which she had to turn down owing to other modeling commitments she had in hand. But Ali turned out to her rescue in the year 2012 when he recommended her for Saif Ali Khan’s romcom Cocktail, where she went on to deliver an astonishingly matured performance as Meera; a typical Indian girl with traditional values who finds herself in a foreign land. The movie was well received and Penty received garlands and words of praise from critics and audience alike for the breathtaking debut in what they referred to as a hard character to crack early only in a debut performance. Penty received numerous Awards for the movie. Diana Penty had to appear for an audition for Cocktail which she successfully completed after the fourth time in Rome. After a splendid debut in Cocktail, Penty was in the limelight of B-town with a handful of film offers and characters which she turned down citing that her follow up movie should be in par with the bars raised by the debut, thus she could not commit any further movies and shifted her focus back to modeling. Diana Penty did not commit in any project for almost four years and she returned to Bollywood with the title role in Anand L Rai’s production Happy Bhag Jayegi, the romcom directed by Mudassar Aziz saw her pairing with Abhay Deol and Jimmy Shergill, which released in August, 2016 which is incidentally her second release only. The film is a story of Amritsari bride Happy played by Diana Penty who runs away from her marriage ceremony, a hilarious film and Penty once again has got all the potential to showcase her aura once again after Cocktail though the role by itself is under-written.
