Majboor was a thriller drama film and was inspired from the American film Zigzag. The film was directed by Ravi Tandon and written by Salim Javed. The starcast for this film were Amitabh Bachchan, Parveen Babi, Pran, Madan Puri, Rehman and Farida Jalal.

Ravi Khanna (Amitabh Bachchan) is a middleclass who lives with his widowed mother and a sister Renu, a wheelchair bound essayed by Farida Jalal. He has a school going brother Billu (Master Alankar). A happy family as Ravi is engaged to girlfriend Neela (Parveen Babi) who is a daughter of a wealthy man.  Just when things were going right he learns he has a tumor in his brain and has only six months to live. In order to secure. his family, he takes on a murder charge on himself for which the reward was 5 lakhs.
