Biography

Ram Kapoor is a well-known personality and has garnered massive popularity with his iconic roles on television. He had made his on-screen debut with television serial Nyaay in 1997 and later did three more shows such as Heena in 1998, Sangharsh and as Jai Walia in Kasamh Se which aired between 2006 to 2009. But his gained popularity with his role as Ram Kapoor in Bade Achhe Lagte Hai opposite Sakshi Tanwar between 2011 and 2014. The television show was a super hit.


Ram Kapoor made his Hindi film debut with a cameo appearance in the acclaimed movie Monsoon Wedding in the year 2001 directed by Mira Nair. Following his debut, he appeared in several other Hindi films which included, Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, in which he played the character Arun Mehta. Ram Kapoor featured in the film Missed call in 2005.


He then appeared in the 2006 film Kal: Yesterday and Tomorrow in a supporting role. In 2010 Ram received the critical acclaim in the film Udaan for his role as Jimmy Singh.


In 2012 he had appeared in the Student of the Year and Mere Dad Ki Maruti in 2013, and Thappad in 2020. His most recent is the 2025 is in the crime thriller web series Mistry on JioHotstar,  wherein he starred as Armaan Mistry.
