Sushant Singh was above to go to University of California After being tired of television serials and no good offers in Bollywood, Sushant Singh decided to go to UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles) and study filmmaking course but one day he got a call from film director Abhishek Kapoor ( who made the hit film Rock On). Recalling the meeting Sushant said, “When Abhishek Kapoor narrated the script of Kai Po Che, I was delighted. Further, when Abhishek informed me that the movie was being produced by hit filmmakers Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur, I was quite thrilled as I was hunting a similar kind of launch. After signing Kai Po Che, I quit the idea of going to UCLA.” Sushant Singh gained maximum success from Kai Po Che, which was based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel titled The 3 Mistakes of My Life. The movie had three heroes Sushant Rajput, Rajkumar Rao, and Amit Sadh but the actor who stole thunder was Sushant Singh. He took away all the laurels. Though Sushant had a cameo in the film, the role was very important and top stars like Ranbir Kapoor, Imran Khan and Shahid Kapoor were in a race for the role but Rajkumar Hirani and Aamir Khan found Shushant Singh appropriate for the role, which Shushnat did with great sincerity and won applause.
