A man in his forties comes to terms with the fact that he can no longer write in Bengali. He sees a psychotherapist in an effort to restore his Bengali writing skills. So the psychiatrist asks him to describe his life, his dreams, and his frustrations in order to identify the underlying psychiatric issue. The narrative centres on his attempts to rediscover his Bengali writing skills.
