Satyaprakash Tripathi lived a poor life with his mother Shanti and sister Gauri. They struggled to make ends meet and decided to come to the city in the hope of finding a lucrative career opportunity. However Satyaprakash’s elder brother Gautam deserts them and abandons them when they needed him the most. This leads to the three of them left to fend for themselves. Thus Gauri ends up in the profession of being a prostitute. Meanwhile Satyaprakash is framed for the murder of two women namely Savitri and Kutti and is sentenced to death.
The film is directed and produced by Deven Verma. The music is composed by Anu Malik and the story is written by Nerupama. The screenplay and cinematography is by Muhir Khan. The star cast includes Mithun Chakraborty, Sadashiv Amrapurkar, Padmini Kolhapure, Nirupa Roy, Gazala,Shreeram Lagu, Shafi Inamdar, Raaj Tilak, Sudhir Dalvi, Sharat Saxena, Rajesh Puri, Mohan Choti, Manek Irani, Deven Verma, Aruna Irani and Madhu Malhotra.
