Maya, played by Esha Deol gives birth to a daughter called Gungun with the help of Indraneel, played by Ajay Devgn, who is mentally disabled. Maya then disappears from their lives never to be seen again. Indraneel takes care of Gungun and she grows up to be very fond of her father. When their world was blissful and happy, suddenly one day Maya’s father Dayanath, played by Anupam Kher returns from London to take his granddaughter back. He sends a court order to Indraneel. Niti, played by Sushmita Sen is a lawyer and single mother to son Rahul. Initially she refuses to represent Indraneel, but seeing that Rahul is fond of him she agrees to help him.
Dayanath has all the reasons to keep Gungun with him and almost wins the case, when Niti comes up with another strategy. She learns that Maya was a drug addict and died as a result. Niti then marries Indraneel and Gungun’s custody is given to Indraneel and Niti. Dayanath apologizes to Indraneel for being mean to him and finally accepts him as his son-in-law. The movie is directed by Harry Baweja and produced by Pammi Baweja. The music is composed by Himesh Reshammiya.
