Manjunath, played by Sasho Satiiysh Saarathy is a student at IIM Lucknow. After completing his graduation he lands a job with a petroleum company in rural UP. One fine day he goes missing and his friends are clueless as what happened to him. But the days leading up to his disappearance they had noticed great change in his personality, where he had become more serious and looked scared and disturbed.
After one of his friends locates him in distress they take him to his parents who ask him to leave the job but he refuses. He thinks of taking up the challenge of stopping the corruption that happening in the factory, where diesel is mixed with kerosene and fuel is adulterated. He decides to go and fight back.
The factory people kill Manjunath one night because he knows too much and is posing a threat to their operations. His family is devastated at the news and wants to carry on his fight to avenge his death but don’t know which direction to take. A lot of people, which include friends and even strangers begin to come forward and help after realizing what Mnajunath was trying to do.
Manjunath is written and directed by Sandeep A Varma and produced by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures, National Film Development Corporation of India and COMO Films. The music is composed by Sonam-Nitin-Subir and Parikrama (band).
