Bollywood actor Akshaye Khanna and Ajay Devgn will be reuniting after nearly 12 years in the upcoming suspense drama film Drishyam 2. While the Tanhaji actor will reprise his role as Vijay Salgaonkar, Tabu will be seen again as IGP Meera Deshmukh. Shriya Saran will play Ajay’s wife Nandini Salgaonkar. Khanna is the new character in the film who will essay the role of a shrewd and sharp cop who is determined to convict Ajay’s character. Devgn and Khanna last worked together in the 2010 movie Aakrosh. 

Akshaye has been very selective in his acting assignments thus we barely see him much. When director Abhishek Pathak narrated the Drishyam 2 script to him he loved it and gave his approval instantly. The film will follow the journey of the  Salgaonkar’s family from the first film. It also stars Ishita Dutta and Mrunal Jadhav. The team has completed the first schedule and began the second in Navi Mumbai last week. Apart from this film, Ajay will also be seen in Maidaan, Thank God, Gangubai Kathiawadi, RRR and Runway 34.
