The Revenge, India’s spy action universe is back with Dhurandhar:The Revenge released on March 19th 2026 with a bigger action and darker storytelling. The highly anticipated action sequel Dhurandhar:The Revenge has currently witnessed an unprecedented rampage at the box office collections setting a historic opening of ticket sales. 


The film’s premiere on March 18th, 2026 across worldwide theatrical release on March 19th, the advance booking numbers itself from domestic as well as international markets indicated a massive opening in the theatres. The film is considered as one of the biggest hits of the post pandemic era. 


Dhurandhar :The Revenge has significantly outperformed the original film on its opening day in comparison to Dhurandhar that released on 5th December 2025 at 28-28.60 crore on day 1, Dhurandhar :The Revenge on 19th March 2026, to the current live update stands to a whooping figure  at 55.52 crore.


The Day 1 figure for the sequel also indicates a Rs. 43 crores from the historic paid previews held on March 18th , with a total grossing on the opening day that is projected to exceed Rs. 100 crore. 


In India alone Dhurandhar :The Revenge is dominating the Indian circuit particularly within the Hindi Belt with the premier shows all India that stands at 13 crore which includes the blocked seats. The growth on an average ticket priced at Rs. 434 in Hindi Belt the film is also being released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada  and Malayalam. The Hindi format is seeing the highest volume of shows and collection. 


Dhurandhar :The Revenge is available in multiple premium formats 


The film’s appeal is further boosted by its availability in multiple formats such as XD, RPX, and other Large Format scenes which are garnering higher occupancy rates in comparison to the standard shows.   


Currently RPX format is leading with 26% occupancy in USA while other formats are touching at 37% .   As the count continue , there is a buzz that Dhurandhar:The Revenge will comfortably cross the 100-crore mark .


Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar :The Revenge has kickstarted at the box office . 


According to the tracking reports on the second installment of the film the net , the film has grossed at Rs. 52 crore from 12,292 shows across India . The sequel has dominated all the existing records till date for the paid premiere by any film in India. 


The Hindi original had paid premier shows across 12000 shows in India.   It is also expected to further heat upand is looking at the global sales that could define a new benchmark this year with the sequel’s total collection.


The Key differences between Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar :The Revenge. 


Dhurandhar followed actor Ranveer Singh as a low level under cover operating under shadows while he is observing while the sequel, the Dhurandhar :The Revenge shifts its spotlight firmly into his character as he transitions into taking a gritty and brutal revenge. 


In the much anticipated sequel, the fans have noticed the difference from a dusty aesthetic look to reflect the Dhurandhar Part 1 to a bluish and cold tone for a more modern cinematic feel in Dhurandhar :The Revenge .  The sequel is said to be slightly longer at 229 minutes which is approximately 3 hrs 49 minute while the Part 1, the original Dhurandhar was 214 minutes. 


Both films Dhurandhar and its sequel were shot simultaneously between July 2024 and October 2025 but the story was spilt in two parts due to the scale and the narrative it required and the complexity of its footage. 


While the core cast remained the same, the sequel introduces Arjun Rampal as Major Iqbal, the primary antagonist  while it also features a cameo by Yami Gautam
