Sara Ajrun had first appeared in Tamil and Hindi film commercials. The daughter of Raj Arjun, Sara had appeared in series of commercials and a short film at the age of six.
In 2010, Sara had signed on to portray a lead role in A.L. Vijay’s Tamil Drama Film Deiva Thirumangal where in she portrayed the role of a six-year-old whose father is mentally challenged adult. The film opened up to critical acclaim and Sara received lot of praises for her performance.
Sara, since then has worked in many Indian films, mainly Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam for which she has received winning reviews for her portrayals especially for her role in Vijay’s Saivam released in 2014.
Sara Arjun was first spotted when she was at a tender age of one and half year old at a mall with her parents. Sara subsequently appeared in more than 100 ad films which include major brands such as McDonalds. Sara did a commercial for director Vijay when was only two years old and many years later they met again when he cast Sara in his drama film Deiva Thirumangal.
Her parents play an important role in her career and they helped Sara learn Tamil dialogues for the film by taking help of a Tamilian friend Maheshwari to help her learn the dialogues. The film was a critical commercial success. Sara as Nila stole the show as Vikram’s daughter in the film.
Around the same period when she was still very young and took fancy to coloring books and asking for eraser and colour pencils she landed herself with a role in Tomorrow directed by Amjad Khan in which her father also starred but the film did not get a theatrical release.
Sara’s entry into Hindi films
Sara worked in Kannan Iyer’s supernatural Hindi film Ek Thi Daayan in the year 2013 which was produced by Ekta Kapoor. She had played the role of Misha, the little sister of the lead actress in the film. The film received positive reviews. She was described as irresistibly cute in her reviews.
Sara then had featured in the lead role in R.Sundarrajan’s Chithirayil Nilachoru. Sara had also featured in the film Saivam by Vijay, a family drama in which she featured in the lead character role of a young girl named Thamizhselvi. Her performance was much appreciated for her charm and her screen presence as Tammizh.
Sara in Mukesh Chhabra’s Dhurandhar
The lead actor Ranveer Singh and Sara Arjun have a 20-year gap in reality but it was required for the role she plays. She plays the role of a young girl who , Ranveer Singh is trying to trap. Director Mukesh had stated that it was a perfect age and the looks that Sara Arjun had for the role that she plays in the blockbuster film Dhurandhar.
