Editor Sanjib Kumar Datta passes away at 54

Known for editing almost all movies of Bollywood film director Nagesh Kukunoor, film editor Sanjib Kumar Datta breathed his last on 15th September Sunday. He has edited more than 80 films in Bengali as well as the Hindi language. Some of his films include the Rani Mukerji starrer Mardaani, Iqbal, Dor, Aashayein and Ek Hasina Thi, among many others.

Director Nagesh Kukunoor confirmed Sanjib’S passing saying that the ‘8x10 Tasveer’ editor went in for a bypass surgery but never came back and his death at such a young age has been shocking for the industry. He has worked with talented directors like Pradeep Sarkar, Kundan Shah and Sriram Raghavan, among others.
