Sarika, played by Urmila Matondkar is in love with Karan, played by Saif Ali Khan, who is a businessman. One day his friend leaves a heavy bag in Sarika’s house and Karan request her to keep it for a few days. Reluctantly she agrees without knowing the contents of the case. Later the police raid her house to discover the bag contains illegal firearms and she is arrested. Karan meets her in jail and promises to help her get out soon but days turn to weeks and the attorney asks Sarika to confess to her crime, with lesser punishment in return. She complies but to her horror she gets 7 years of rigorous imprisonment. Her father dies of shock.
Meanwhile Sarika gets a clue that Karan is involved with the underworld and had framed her so he could be away from the eyes of the law. She undergoes a complete transformation in jail. One of the inmates helps her escape from jail. When she locates Karan she finds him having a good time with a girl and is disgusted. She soon hunts him down and takes him to a secluded place and kills him.
The movie is directed by Sriram Raghavan and produced by Ram Gopal Varma and R.R Venkat. The story is written by Sriram Raghavan and Pooja Ladha Surti. The music is composed by Amar Mohile.
