Rahul Sharma, played by John Abraham, finds out that he has cancer after proposing to his girlfriend, Nafisa. He is heartbroken and runs away from everything including her. He is miserable to know that he has only a few more months to live. He leaves most of his savings for his girlfriend and leaves without a word. He then admits himself into a center for people with fatal diseases and meets lots of people there. He connects deeply with these people who are all suffering with AIDS, throat cancer or some other type of deadly illness.

He one day goes into the room of one of the patients called Govinda and collapses there. On waking up he tells Rahul a story just like the dream he had seen, where he is Indiana Jones and has to find keys to many locks. He later comes to know that his heart is the key to the locks and the souls that need to be freed are the people living in the center. They all write a wish and put it into a pot and its gets fulfilled one by one.

Rahul’s girlfriend re-enters his life as one of the patients Padma, had wished for her to come and take care of him. They both then drive away in peace to spend the rest of their little time remaining together. The movie is written and directed by Nagesh Kukunoor and produced by Percept Picture Company and T-Series.
