Akshay Kumar acknowledged in public that he had withdrawn from Hera Pheri 3 following numerous rumors that Kartik Aaryan would join the main cast. However, the OG Hera Pheri trio of Paresh Rawal, Suniel Shetty, and Akshay Kumar recently began filming the third installment. While some fans are still happy about the news, Welcome, another Akshay Kumar-led franchise, is getting big news. Welcome was one of the year's most memorable comedies for the unversed, which came out in 2007. The film also featured Paresh Rawal, Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor, Mallika Sherawat, and Katrina Kaif in addition to him. Later, in 2015, the sequel to Welcome Back saw Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar, and Paresh Rawal return to their roles. Shruti Haasan, John Abraham, Shiney Ahuja, Dimple Kapadia, and Naseeruddin Shah also joined the star cast.

Welcome 3 will be the title of the next section, which was previously titled Welcome To The Jungle. According to a Times Of India report, Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, and Akshay Kumar will play the lead roles in the upcoming Firoz Nadiadwala-produced film.
