When the Bilingual film Soorarai Pottru hit the OTT platform late last year, it created a storm. It was widely praised for its screenplay and performances. The film’s original director Sudha Kongara is now working on the Hindi remake and has her eyes on some of the top names in Bollywood. She is considering Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Hrithik Roshan or John Abraham to play the role of Maara, which is originally essayed by South actor Suriya. Depending on who has their date book available for the film, he will be signed on and an official announcement will soon follow. 

 

Producer Vikram Malhotra, who is associated with films like Sherni, Shakuntala Devi, Airlift and Toilet: Ek Prem Katha has sealed the deal for Soorarai Pottru’s Hindi remake this summer. The film is based on Simply Fly: A Deccan Odyssey by G. R. Gopinath.
