Bollywood star Sunny Deol has finally commenced shooting for his much awaited sequel Gadar 2. He will be reprising his role as Tara Singh while leading lady Ameesha Patel will essay her role as Sakina. Several images from the mahurat shots today from Himachal Pradesh were shared by trade analyst Taran Adarsh on Twitter. The pictures reveal the looks of both the leading actors. Sunny himself shared a few images on his social media page and wrote, “We started filming of Gadar 2. Will post Tara Singh soon.”

Actress Ameesha shared a few pictures with the Army personnel on set and wrote, “Gadar 2. Muhurat shot. The General was kind enough to grace the occasion.” Gadar 2 director Anil Sharma shared pictures with his film’s team and wrote, “General was kind enough to grace the occasion of the muhurat of our forthcoming film Gadar 2. We are indeed very grateful, Sir.” Gadar Ek Prem Katha was one of the biggest Bollywood hits of 2001. It featured child star Utkarsh Sharma as Tara and Sakina’s son. Utkarsh is director Anil Sharma’s son and will reprise his role in the sequel as well.
