The plot of the show centres on Meera (Akangsha Rawat), a carefree adolescent who thinks everything is wonderful and sunny. She is very close to every member of the Bharadwaj family, and she spends her days playing with kids in and around Benares' byways and enjoying the pickles the family's elders make. Her mother Alaknanda Bharadwaj (Mrinal Kulkarni) became a widow after her father Kumarvardhan Bharadwaj (Anuj Saxena) passed away. Meera was devastated by the changes in her mother's life. She had discovered that her younger paternal uncle Shantanu Bharadwaj (Vaquar Shaikh), who was also cherished by her mother, was a former lover of her mother.
