Anushka Sharma is the ambassador for multiple brands and products and has an active social media presence. She is in support of various charities and is involved in social causes including gender equality and animal rights. Anushka and her brother Karnesh Sharma are the founders of the Production company Clean Slate Films. Anushka Sharma born in Ayodhya and raised in Bangalore born to Colonel Ajay Kumar Sharma and Ashima Sharma a homemaker. Her father is a native of Uttar Pradesh while her mother is a Garhwali. She has one brother Karnesh Sharma a film producer who earlier served in Merchant Navy and was also a part of the under 19 Bangalore Ranji Cricket team. Anushka Sharma being raised in a Military background it helped her to shape up her life as a person and takes pride in being an Army Officer’s daughter. She did her schooling in Bangalore at the Arm School and then went on to receive a degree in Arts from Mount Carmel College . Her aspiration was to do a career in modelling or in Journalism . After Graduation Anushka moved to Mumbai to pursue her interest in modelling and enrolled herself at the Elite Model Management and was groomed by Prasad Bidapa a style consultant.
In 2007, Anushka made a debut at the Lakme Fashion Week for designer Wendell Rodricks’s Les Vamps Show and was picked to be his finale model at the Spring Summer 2007 Collection. Thereafter she got lot of modelling assignments and did campaigns for the brands Silk & Shine, Whisper, Nathella Jewllery and Fiat Palio. By then she had decided to join an acting school and she began her audition for film roles as well. Her first role was of an extra in the comedy film, Lage Raho Munna bhai in 2006. Anushka Sharma is said to be in a relationship with the Cricketer Virat Kohli . Anushka Sharma established herself as an Actress. Following a successful audition at Yash Raj Films she made it to the Tinsel Town Screen debut in the blockbuster romantic film Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi in 2008 with co-star Shahrukh Khan which earned her nomination at the Filmfare Awards for the Best Actress and Best Female Debut. In 2014 she had her biggest commercial success with her role played in the religious spoof PK followed by her role as a wrestler in the sports film Sultan in 2016 both of which ranged among the highest grossing films in the Indian cinema in that year. Anushka received critical accolades for her performances in both the films. In 2015, Anushka did a role in the multistar cast film Dil Dhadakne Do in 2016 .Her role was much appreciated by the audience and she received once again the critical acclaim. Then came the Crime Thriller NH 10 which made her mark as a producer of the film for the first time after she had established herself as a distinguished actress. In 2016 Anushka’s last film released is the much talked about film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil in which she plays as Fawad Khan and a lover of Ranbir Kapoor. After her last film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Anushka Sharma has taken a long break but isn’t missing from the limelight. She is still the bubbly girl of Bollywood . She is one of the few actresses we have who has experimented with her acting skills in films like NH10 and she has adored as her role as Akira or Alizeh. The 28 year old actress is one of the best found faces by the Hindi Film Industry and she has a strong connect with Yash Raj Films and has proved herself to be one of the finest actress .
