Ghanshyam is an honest and hard working fisher man. He meets and falls in love with a beautiful lady named Kamli and both soon decide to get married. However one day, out of the blue, things take an ugly turn when Ghanshyam is arrested by the cops and when asked the reason he is told that he molested Kamli. How could that ever be possible that he would attack the love of his life or any other woman? Things get even more devastating for Ghanshyam when Kamli testifies against him. The film is directed and produced by Shakti Samanta. The music is composed by R D Burman and the story is written by Shaktipada Rajguru. The cinematography is by Nanda Bhattacharya. The star cast includes Mithun Chakraborty, Nutan, Asit Sen, Utpal Dutt, Manik Dutt and Tarun Ghosh.
