Anjali Thapar, played by Amrita Rao is living in the US with her parents. She repeatedly gets dreams of a temple in India and men on horseback. She is confused about her dreams and visions and they consult a pandit, who advices them to go to India and find out the truth. He also tells her that it could be about her past life. Her dad is however not happy about this and tells Anjali that she can go to India only after she gets married to a man of their choice. She is upset on hearing this and runs away.

On reaching India, Anjali is chased by a CBI inspector who is asked by her dad to get hold of her. She then meets small time thieves Karan and his gang. She then goes into her past life where Karan was her past lover Abhay, a freedom fighter. He was killed by the British aided spy Tejaswar Singh. However it is revealed that Tejaswar is also alive and is a powerful minister. This time the situation is almost similar to that of past life and the lovers cannot get separated at any cost.
