"Blindsided" is a new Hindi action thriller film written and directed by KD Sandhu. The lead actors of this new release include Farha Khan, KD Sandhu, and Udhay Bir Sandhu. The thrilling story of a blind soldier whose peaceful existence goes haywire when two deadly criminals invade his home looking for stolen diamonds is told in this new release.
The film opens with a dangerous covert mission in Kashmir, where soldier Jaideep (Udhay Bir Sandhu) is brutally injured in an ambush and left permanently blind. Forced out of combat, he begins a quiet new life with his lovely fiancée, Jennifer (Farha Khan). But Jennifer keeps a deadly past secret and when her past catches up with her, everything changes. Two burglars: Rolex (KD Sandhu) and Sophia, enter their house in search of stolen diamonds associated with Jennifer. Blind and trapped, Jaideep uses his instincts, training, and brainpower to stay alive and defend the woman he loves.
The suspense in the novel builds up as Jaideep tricks the goons and tries to get them to fight each other. Jaideep employs sound, memory, and mind tricks to fend for himself. The audience is left speculating, whose brains are going to win? When the secret of the diamonds and Jennifer's history is revealed, things get deadly. Jaideep's showdown with Rolex is gripping, but the diamond twist is unbelievable and contrived.
It's not without some new concepts and a great premise, though, that "Blindsided" feels unfinished in its delivery. The new film could have been among the greatest films in the action thriller category, but poor character development, exaggerated lines, and a quick conclusion influenced the overall effect. Recently released, Blindsided possessed all the necessary components for an engaging thriller but is a forgettable movie because of poor storytelling.
