“Champion" is a 2019 Tamil sports drama film directed by Suseenthiran and featuring Vishwa, Sowmika Pandiyan, and Mirnalini Ravi. The film was produced by Raghavi under Kalanjiyam Cine Arts. The film narrates the life of a young footballer between his aspirations and his past.

“Jones" (Vishwa) is a young high school footballer who is poor. Owing to his poverty, despite his talent, he is judged and discriminated against. His coach (Narain) notices his excellent potential and makes him concentrate on the sport because he believes Jones can have a good future.

At the same time, Jones falls in love with "Sana" (Mirnalini Ravi), a Muslim woman, but things get tough as they belong to different societies. Just when hope for football sets in, he finds out about a terrible past revelation. His family was wrongly dealt with by a gang, and his mind is occupied with revenge.

Jones is confused between his dreams and his anger and cannot make his mind up. His coach discourages him from violence and tells him that football is his arena. But the pressure of his emotions and his past propel him toward a dangerous choice.

Throughout the course of the story, Jones is given the choice of fighting his wars on the gridiron or in the streets. Will he opt for football and a better life, or will his desire for revenge ruin his dreams?

"Champion" is an inspiring message of dreams, determination, and what is possible when choices are made. It shows how passion can build one's life, but anger and revenge can rip it all apart.
