“Dinosaurs” (DeiNoSirs) is a 2023 action movie directed by M. R. Madhavan. Released by Srinivas Sambandam from the Galaxy Pictures label. features Udhay Karthik, Rishi Rithvik, Saipriya Deva, and Maara Jothi in prominent roles. Focused on the streets of North Chennai, Dinosaurs is presented as a harsh gangster tale of loyalty, revenge, and redemption.

The tale starts with a notorious gangster by the name of “Salaiyar,” whose cruel manipulation brings about an awful and unthinkable act. The crime gives rise to a murderous feud between Salaiyar and “Mannu,” (Udhay Karthik) a determined youth with lofty aspirations and the ambition of keeping at arm's length the brutal world around him.

Although, “Durai” (Maara Jothi), a loyal henchman of Salaiyar, hopes to leave his past behind and start a peaceful life. But his dark history catches up with him. When the police close in, “Dhana” (Rishi Rithvik), Durai’s close friend, offers to go to prison in Durai’s place. His selfless act is driven by loyalty, but fate takes a cruel turn when Durai ends up dead.

Mannu, the younger brother of Dhana, is thrust into this world of crime, although he yearns for a simple and honest life. As threats and violence rise and secrets unravel, Mannu has to take difficult decisions: whether to leave or fight for justice and uncover the reason for the tragedies that have occurred in his family.

Among a sea of gangster stories, “Dinosaurs” shines through its emotional resonance and compelling narrative. While the pacing stumbles occasionally, director M. R. Madhavan offers a brazen attempt at blending action with substance. With solid performances and a poignant narrative, the film adds a new voice to the cinematic underworld of North Chennai.
