Ek Mahal Ho Sapno Ka is a 1975 family drama directed by Devendra Goel starring Ashok Kumar, Dharmendra, Sharmila Tagore, Leena Chandavarkar and Deven Verma.
Vishal (Dharmendra) is a poet in love with Aruna (Sharmila Tagore) who works with a publishing house. She tries her best to get his poems published through her publishing house and also get him a job. She marries her boss Anand Kumar (Ashok Kumar) much older than her and this devastates Vishal who is love with Aruna and he turns to drinking alcohol and visiting the dance bars.
A young woman by the name of Sonia (Leena Chandavarkar) comes into his life and they both fall in love. The irony is that Sonia is the step daughter of his ex-lover Aruna and the daughter of Anand Kumar (Ashok Kumar). Getting to know the reality of Sonia, Vishal and Aruna not comfortable in their relationship. Will Vishal go ahead with the relationship with Sonia?
