The story takes place in a small village in Assam, India. It centres on Khagen, a farmer whose wife is killed in an accident. Due to the lack of an ambulance, he tries to bring the dead body home on his bicycle from the hospital. As he wanders through the cobblestone streets with the body and his small daughter, he comes across two reporters, and their journey takes on a new direction.
