Hum Ek Hain (1946)

Hum Ek Hain is an Emotional-Romantic Musical-Thriller Family Drama Film crafted with excellence by P.L. Santoshi. The Story revolves around the life of Zamindari Maa (played by Durga Khote)- a kind and old landlady of a village that supports its people during a famine and raises three orphaned children of differing religions. The children, although encouraged to practice their separate religions, are taught to remain united at all times. However, when Shankar (played by Dev Anand) his son fells in love with Vidya (played by Kamla Kotnis)- a sweet girl and they wanted to marry each other- but Chote Babu (played by Ram Singh) wanted to marry her by any means and causes circumstances, leading to consequences.
