Kashi in Search of Ganga a suspense thriller film directed by Dhiraj Kumar released in 2018 starring Sharman Joshi and debutant actress Aishwarya Devan in the lead roles along with supporting stars Govind Namdev, Akhilendra Mishra, Paritosh Tripathi , Priyanka Singh, Manoj Joshi and Manoj Pahwa. Produced by Insite India, the film is set in the city of Benaras which is also known as Kashi.
The actor Kaashi is a man who belongs to the community involved in performing the last rites. Kaashi(Sharman Joshi) has a sister Ganga(Priyanka Singh) who goes missing. In search of her Kaashi goes through a lot of challenges when people refuse to believe Ganga existed. Devina(Aishwarya Devan) is the journalist who helps Kaashi in his pursuit to locate his sister Ganga. Kaashi is even suspected of being schizophrenia with psychiatric disorder for which his own sanity is questioned. The real story is when Devina is behind all this and wanted to take revenge. She also tells him his parents and sister were dead long ago.
