Kasme Vaade is 1978 film with a star cast of Amitabh Bachchan (in a double role as Amit and Shankar). Starring Rakhee, Neetu Singh, Randhir Kapoor, Amjad Khan and is produced and directed by Ramesh Behl.

Suman and Amit (Amitabh Bachchan) a teacher in a college, are in love and are soon to marry. Raju (Randhir Kapoor) is Amit’s younger brother living with him.  Raju gets into a bad company and a spoilt brat with the pampering by his elder brother and his would be wife Suman.  Neetu Singh is his girlfriend.   One day Raju gets into a brawl with some his enemies and in an attempt to save him Amit gets involved and gets killed. Suman dorns the garb of a widow and lives with Raju. Both are devastated by the sudden death of Amit but there comes along a look alike of Amit. Raju is driven by guilt all along that as his brother Amit is killed due to his negligence of joining a bad company much against his brother’s wishes. He changes himself to be a responsible human being and wants his would be sister-in-law settle in again and not stay as a widow of Amit for life long.

He hires Shankar in his car repair workshop as he is reminded him of his brother. Not knowing that Shankar is a wanted criminal and has escaped from the authorities.  Raju supports him with unconditional love of a younger brother and sees his brother in Shankar.  Suman and Shankar also gets attracted to each other. But Shankar is not able to forget his ugly past.  The smugglers realizing Suman and Shankar are getting closer, they kidnap Suman in order to get Shankar to aid the kingpin to smuggle the diamonds through the car rally. Shankar saves Suman’s life and they both realise they are in love.   

Raju has not only learnt his lesson through losing his brother due to the dangerous life and frivolous life but also understands there is hope at the end.
