Naga Rani is a magical snake who can become human. She loves another magical snake, Naga Raja. One day, a vulture attacks Naga Raja. Kamal, a researcher, saves him by scaring the vulture away. Naga Raja thanks Kamal, and asks what he's doing there. Kamal says he's searching for magical snakes. Naga Raja then transforms into a snake right in front of Kamal and leaves. Kamal realises he has found them and excitedly tells his friends Vijay, Sri, Jai, Ravi, and Salim. They don't believe him. So, Kamal takes them to the spot.

Secretly watching, they see Naga Raja and Naga Rani in their human forms. Later, when Naga Raja changes back into a cobra, Salim panics and shoots him, killing him. Heartbroken, Naga Rani sees the faces of the killers in Naga Raja's eyes. She vows revenge. One by one, she kills Salim, Ravi, Jai, Sri and Vijay. She tries to kill Kamal too, but fails. In her final attack, she is badly wounded. As she lies dying, Naga Rani realises her revenge was wrong. It destroyed many lives, just like hers was destroyed. She sees Naga Raja calling to her in the sky. With a final sigh, she lets go and joins him in the afterlife.
