"Ninaithathu Yaaro" is a 2014 Tamil romantic drama film written and directed by Vikraman. Rejith Menon and Nimisha Suresh star in the lead roles in the film set against the disillusionment of youth with love and how the past of one man revives hope in their hearts once again.

The film follows the life of five youth: three men and two women who all share a background of heartbreaks and bad relationships. Having gone through a number of broken love stories, they strongly believe that love is artificial and not real. They are introduced to each other as friends owing to the mutual dislike for romance. They encounter Mohan (Rejith Menon), a prospective filmmaker, one day, and he hears their views and decides to prove them wrong. He begins explaining his own story of his deep passion for a girl, Kavitha (Nimisha Suresh). They were in love years before but parted ways due to circumstances. Kavitha later married a man named Arun, who amazingly respected Mohan's love for her and did not stop them from being friends.

Mohan's tale is full of emotional high and low and maturity. He describes how actual love never is always about remaining together but understanding, accepting, and releasing. Arun's goodness and Kavitha's honesty help Mohan heal and bloom. The story shocks the five children and makes them reflect on their own past judgments and actions. Slowly, the anger fades, and they begin to feel that love does not always hurt or come falsely. Mohan's lines stay with them and enable them to heal their relationship broken trust.

"Ninaithathu Yaaro" strives to give love and break-ups a gentle and mature healing. Vikraman, known for his story-telling based on emotions, presents a calm narrative with strong values. However, the movie receives divided opinions due to its old-fashioned presentation and slow pace. Even though the message is real, the acting and screenplay do not attract the young generation. Nevertheless, it is a genuine attempt at portraying love with honesty and depth.
