Mehak, played by Radhika Apte is a gifted artist and has created some very unique and interesting paintings. Everything seems to be going great in her life until one unfortunate day an incident alters her life in a big way. While travelling in a taxi, the driver suddenly starts to act strange and molests Mehak. This leaves a grave impression on her mind that affects her considerably. So much so that she develops Agoraphobia, where a person does not wish to socialize with big groups of people or going out in public places.

Mehak’s sister Anusha, played by Nivedita Bhattacharya initially sympathizses with her but seeing that its affecting her toddler son gets fed up. Mehak’s friend Shaan, suggests that she stay alone in an apartment to get over her fears and she obliges. She learns of a boy called Manu living in the neighboring apartment who has anger management problems but dismisses it until one day she gets hold of a diary in her apartment. A girl named Jiah who was Manu’s girlfriend was living in the apartment, and mysteriously disappeared.


Mehak starts seeing visions of her future and they all turn out to be true. She later creates a painting with hands reaching out for help, which is the situation she would be in and she ultimately gets over her phobia. Phobia is directed by Pavan Kirpalani and produced by Viki Rajani. The music is composed by Daniel George.
